    All notes transcribed from spoken announcements on tapes: male tests microphone: one, two, three etc. then sings an unaccompanied song; American male announcer: "now we should be recording.....Mel Amidi tested the machine before and with the cooperation of Malam Lalo who just sang a song called Isharinia. The next music you should hear should come from a bar where they sell millet beer, guinea corn beer I think, in Kagoro, with a xylophone and one of the local pottery drums [kimkim] used for rythmic accompaniment]; [See also: Ames, David W. and Gourlay, Ken A.
