Description
All notes transcribed from spoken announcements on tape: songs sung by Ali in Farden Kadji; the song is about competition within married men and married women; if they were to fit women what would happen? Announcement further into the recording: this is the one they used to sing one by one and now they are going to bind the whole song...[female voice leads song with mixed chorus accompanied by wooden percussion again; break - male singer leads song but is cut off]. [For detailed notes and cross references see: "A descriptive catalogue of recorded sound" compiled by Ken A Gourlay for the musicology section of the Centre for Nigerian Cultural Studies, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria].
