Qassem Abdulla is a paste, abūd̲īya and rifi singer from Iraq. Side-A The song belongs to the urban abūd̲īya (also spelled aboodiya, aboudieh or aboudiya) genre. This is a popular poetic-musical song genre, which was once performed by professional and semi-professional singers in the urban centres of Iraq. Musical instruments and music: ‘ūd and violin; some beautiful interludes on these melody instruments; melismatic way of singing; without metered rhythm and rhythm instruments.
