Father from Bathgate, mother from Slamanan. Speaks both Scots and English. Can read and write in English. Educated in Bathgate at an elementary school. Religion: Protestant. Occupation: shoemaker. Item note: Thomas reads the Parable of the Prodigal Son (taken from Luke chapter XV, verse 11-32).
