Speaker's note: Aged 33 from Skipton, Yorkshire, England. Born 2 May 1883 in Skipton. Both parents from Leeds, his father was a weaver. Thomas was a brick layer and lived in Skipton until the age of 19 when he joined the army (stationed in Inda, York and Skipton). Educated at an elementary school in Skipton. Can read and write in English. Religion: catholic Occupation: labourer. Item note: Thomas reads the Parable of the Prodigal Son (taken from Luke chapter XV, verse 11-32).
