Abstract
Part 14: Description of details of Ralph Erskine's [RE] house and garden; discussion of impact of winter weather in Sweden, and Swedish habit of moving out of town in summer. RE's proposal for donation of his house to Swedish Architectural Museum, and establishment of a foundation; remarks on houses of Carl Larson and Peter Celsing donated to public institutions; RE's drawings at RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) and Canadian Centre for Architecture. Description of RE's wooden house, the Box, at Lissma, Solangen; discussion of timber buildings in Sweden, and of building for protection from the climate and to exploit climatic resources; description of life at the Box, and of the local community and its living habits.
