Tamil masons. First work space in India, details. Cannot draw outside in India because would attract a crowd. Death of son of owner of AF’s studio and how this affected AF on his last trip to India. Visit to AF’s cousin’s plantation in hills; death of young mother, buried by lake in forest - AF finds this a strong image, had painted it several times.
