Part 13: [Session seven: 9th March 2015] Comments on sketching on the blowing iron; PL favouring experimentation; working through permutations on an idea. [07:23] Description of sketching process; interconnecting of themes; examples from recent exhibition Vetro, exploring Venetian influence; PL developing glass with a lacelike layer called Burano; PL’s stone form series. [17:29] PL making button shapes for Vetro exhibition. Comments on applying colour to glass, Pl only having clear glass in furnace and applying colour in range of ways; different forms in which colour is supplied.
