Abstract
Part 1 of 1. [00:00:00 - 00:03:43]. This recording, from Liss, Hampshire, 1975, contains performances of a singing game, a pop song and a short rhyme. The recording begins with a small group of schoolchildren singing 'Orange Balls' for Iona Opie [00:00:00 - 00:01:40]. Iona asks the children if they have heard of 'The Bay City Rollers'. The children chorus: 'yes' and one girl remarks that this band is 'brilliant'. The children then begin to sing The Beatles' 'We All Live in a Yellow Submarine' [00:01:19 - 00:02:20]. The recording finishes with the children reciting a short rhyme that they explain arrived 'a long time ago' at their school [00:03:08 - 00:03:37].
