Part 2: Contact with friends (continued); remarks on circumstances of recent relationship with Chinese singer. RK's sojourn with Dr. Kosaar a Quaker, in Uddingston near Glasgow; background to his attempt to escape and circumstances of his return. Settles with Patella family on Long Logie Farm, Perthshire. RK's strong memories of Brussels and father's house 28 Rue de la Reine, Scaabeck; refers to LuLu Humph; memories of time spent with father and solo visits to cinema. Anecdote involving visit to father's girlfriend. Remarks on RK's awareness of being an outsider. RK's father's siblings including sister (Lilly Schillinger) who left RK property in Zagreb. Story about AK's internment in France and escape to Havana. Anecdote revealing desire to have a sibling and comments on RK's childless state.
