Part 16: RK's recollections of the Ring (continued); anecdote about RH. Remarks on Glen Byam Shaw and John Bletchley's working relationship; attendance at rehearsals. Comments on Robert A... lighting designer; general remarks on attitude of contemporary lighting designers. Refers to incident on production of 'Anna Karenina' for ENO 1981. RK draws distinctions between theatre designers and lighting designers; mentions positive working relationships with Stefan Lazirides, John Napier, Sue Blane, Maria Bjornsen, Richard Hudson, Alison Chitty [AC] Yolande Sonnabend. Remarks on importance of AC's personality as a designer. Refers to increasing presence in theatre of gay designer/director collaboration; attitude in the business to women theatre designers and further remarks on exclusive nature of gay professional relationships. Recollections of As You Like It [AYLI]1967, including reference to Jan Kott's writing, Kenneth Tynan's influence on Laurence Olivier and John Dexter's role .
