  • Description

    This recording features the three main types of Tongan dance the lakalaka, tafi and ma'ulu'ulu, although this last one has its its origin in Samoa. The fourth song, to accompany a lakalaka, was performed for the British Royal visit to Fiji in December 1953. The final song, Isa Lei the Fijian song of farewell, is sung by the girls choir of Adi Cakobau School in Suva.
