  • Description

Princess Magogo explanation of a love song with translation into English: when the lover is far away, the woman wishes he would come to the gate of her home to meet her. Once the man has come she would call the dogs to chase him away; the man would have to run and that would please her. On another hand, if she could not be reunited with him she would hang herself. Princess Magogo explains later that these love songs used to be composed by young girls, according to the tradition each girl had to compose a song based on their own circumstances.
