  • Description

This is the first movement of a suite composed by Rycroft called 'KwaPhindangene' in 1983. This recording is of the Hand cross brass rehearsing this suite. There is no further documentation provided. However in later sections in this tape, there are sections of narration and Rycroft provides some insight into how he composed this piece of music. He used certain traditional Zulu songs as a musical basis or 'source' as he calls it.
