Abstract
First half of a complete cycle of azawaan, the traditional Hassani music system. The guitarist plays in all the scales, improvising in each of them. The performance occasion was a private session in the house of the musician. Luali Said is an extremely talented guitarist that performs regularly in national events and weddings in the camps. He has his own, very rich guitar playing style, especially when improvising. On this occasion, he introduces each scale by its name before playing it.
