Abstract
This song is a traditional tune from the repertoire of the lashuar, or shadow music, which was performed during the day, when the sun still makes shadows. These very short songs were usually performed at family or other social events. The song features a man who is singing to his beloved one and telling her that he is going very quickly to where she is. Tarba only performed a few verses of the song, but she did not do all the repetitions. The performance occasion was a private session organised by the musician in her house. Tarba Bueibu normally performs at national events with the national opera, but she does not consider herself a professional musician. She was playing a plastic bucket as a drum.
